The Way - Matlock and the Derbyshire Dales

Supported Housing for the homeless and those in need.
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:6, English Standard Version (ESV)
The Way
The Way is supported shared housing for the homeless and those in need within Derbyshire. We have three properties, two shared four bed flats in Matlock and a shared four bed in Matlock Bath.

The Truth

The Truth is that sometimes in life all of us need a helping hand. If you are alone and homeless for whatever reason, it can be difficult to get ahead. If you are homeless, it makes you vulnerable.

The Life

The Life you lead is dependent on basic needs being met, such as having a roof over your head, clothing & enough food to eat. The Way is a 'not for profit company' run on Christian principles. We work very closely with other Christian organisations in the area to provide the basics in life when life is being tough.

We work and support our residents with the aim to move them on into their own tenancies.

The Way works with the Derbyshire Dales District Council's 'Move On' project intended to assist Supported Housing Providers access ‘move on’ accommodation in the Home Options area where this is required for residents in appropriate circumstances. It establishes a commitment to working in partnership to address the accommodation and support needs of vulnerable people wishing to move from supported accommodation.
